Dear Jianming,

How are you? Sorry that I haven't taken care of the transition business of our Association until now, as busy tasks too easily preoccupy our daily schedule. Nevertheless, as we have discussed, this is the right time for me to pass our "torch" to you. According to our by-law, you are now officially our new President.
I have attached the list of council members from the last year, which will make your job a little smooth by just making a few changes to it. Yidao had also been busy with his recent career change, but I see he has never decreased his duty and activity as our communication officer.

Again, I would like to, in my capacity as the immediate past president, thank him for his tremendous contribution to our Association. Also as we have discussed, we had been very ambitious to accomplish, but most had not been done. Now they will become your burden. I am confident that with excellent help and wisdom advices from the council members, you will be able to achieve all we had envisioned.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. As I mentioned to you earlier, I
am afraid I may not be able to do much at all for the Society this year due to
time constraint but I will try to be a good "care-taker."

As the current president of the Society, I would also like to thank you for
all you have done for the Society as the immediate past president in the last
year, especially for setting up the Council, and for all your contributions to
the Society over the years. Your continued support in the future will be
critical to the success of the Society and will be greatly appreciated.
